Bbbbbasketball & Cheer

It's going to be a busy season. Logan has a bunch of games! The pictures I took were from the Gravette game. Logan played an awesome game that night....I think most of you that read and keep up w/us know that Nanete Lovell (Jordan) and I have been friends since Jr High. I just love her. We do not see each other much these days because we are to busy w/kids but we do see each other every year at basketball games and track meets. Nanete's son, Alex, is the same age as Madison so Alex and Logan do not usually play against each other. However, last year Logan got to go to the HS track meet and Alex beat him at the high jump. This year was payback time because Logan got the jump ball (that is Alex he is jumping against). I'm glad they are both good sports about it too. We will have to see how it goes at the next meet in the spring ;)

Merry Christmas from the PRHS Cheerleaders :) (Can you see the poms are a Christmas tree?)

This was the very end of a dance but I thought Madison looked to cute not to post..

Out of place post...

This was the Monticello competition. Which we won. :) I love this picture of Madison's face...then a group shot after we won.

Madison's State Cheer Competition

This is our first year as high school cheer parents. I have found an entire new respect for cheerleaders. I had NO idea how much work goes into it. Between the practice, games, competitions, charity stuff, etc they are sooo busy and they work so hard. The squad has competed in several competitions this year and won all of them in their division but they only competed against like 3-5 schools each time. When they competed at state there were suppose to be 17 in the 4-A co-ed and I think there ended up being 14-15. I was sooo nervous for them. I thought I was going to puke so I cannot even imagine how they felt. They did an awesome job and they only had one small fall. Their routine was really hard and they rocked it! I was soooo proud of them all. Then they won!!! It was sooo awesome. They were all jumping up and down and crying and screaming...of course I was doing it right along w/them...

Since Coach had family gatherings down by Hot Springs I rode back on the bus. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be (I didn't even get sick) and they were all in good spirits. :) Madison of course chose to ride back w/Randy because Charlie had went w/us. Anywho, it was an awesome day!! I took some pics of course. :) (I don't have any of the actual competition because I used the video camera for that).

Kasey, Reaganne, & Madison before they went on....

Madison & mom...I love days when we just hang out...

Randy turned 50 on Oct 15th...hard to believe. We bought him a Garmin watch for his running and some new running shoes. We took him to dinner and then to Fast Lanes (dinner and fast lanes was his choice...so at least he doesn't act 50!)
Justin Stamps tagged Randy's truck for his b-day...I think everyone knows how funny this is because we are a Mizzou lovin' family!

family update

Lets see...the kids are both doing really well in school. I love Edline. Sure helps keep track.

Logan is in full swing football and any spare time he spends w/Kasey Smith. She is a sweet girl and a joy to have around. He is going to church every Wednesday night and it's such a joy to watch him in his journey w/the Lord. Last time we measured him he was 6'2 and I think he might be a little taller than that now...that or Randy is shrinking because Logan looks a bit taller than Randy now. I am curious as to how tall he will be when he stops growing.

Madison is really busy w/her AP classes and cheer. She loves it though and I'm so happy for that. I was worried after a while she would think it was a lot more work than fun but she never complains and she's always happy and excited about everything they do. She is a class rep this year too so she is in on planning prom which of course she is thrilled about. They have picked out a great venue and theme and are getting that all started. She is still really involved in church and she is so loving and so giving. I think it just might be her spiritual gift.

Randy is still running...he is going to be 50 next month!! I've been driving him crazy trying to find out what he really wants to do. Of course he is not a party person and he doesn't like crowds. Tonight he finally told me he just wants dinner and bowling and he only wants it to be the 6 of us. That is the 6 of us being us, the kids, and Kasey and Charlie. I think it will be a fun night. :)

As for me...lets see. We have a new interim superintendent who is really something. He is a very nice man but working for him is very hard. I will spare you the details but I've said extra prayers and will continue to. So any prayers you could send up for me would be greatly appreciated. It's going to be a long school year. I have fallen off the wagon again as far as weight...man, it's such a constant struggle. I will be good at watching what I eat but not exercising like I should or I will hit the gym every day and fall off the good food wagon. I feel sooo busy...between working ball games, going to ball games, and church I only get like 1 free night a week and I don't think making it to the gym or military park one night a week is going to cut it. I need to pull myself together and re-focus!! My 20 year reunion is coming up this weekend. I am on the fence about it. I go back and forth. I had decided I would not go to any of it except the Saturday night get together and I've about talked myself out of it. There were a few people in high school that I really do not care to see again. I know it's been 20 years but I don't know that I want to deal w/any of those type feelings again. Of course I guess they say at the reunions no one remembers ever being mean to each other. I guess we shall see.

I think that sums up where we all our these days...I will try and stay more updated from here on out but no promises.

God Bless!!
Danielle

Pea Ridge vs. Greenland

Logan (he might end up being #33 all season)

They were dancing to Country Girl (Shake it for me). Very cute dance!

We didn't win this game and it was cold and raining but Madison still had a smile. :)

Pea Ridge had the ribbon cutting on the new multi purpose facility this past Saturday. The boys threw some footballs around for a while...this picture would have been really cool if it wasn't blurry and off center...

Pea Ridge vs. Green Forest

We won our 2nd game of the season too!!

Logan is still #33 for now... lol

The girls had such a cute dance which had several songs..can you tell they are doing the robot here? It was so funny!!
