Mom gets her 35 year award...

My sweet momma has been working at PLP for 35 years. That is a loooong time. She received her 35 year award the same night Madison went to prom. She got a purse and wallet (pretty expensive ones too). Congrats momma! I love you!

New car and Easter...

I have driven my Olds for 10 years now..well a few months shy but almost...and we've been planning for months to buy a new car but We have been saving up for vacation and just didn't want to spend the money yet. I found the exact car I wanted online and it was in Joplin. I called to make sure it was there and we went to see it. After I drove it the salesman asked if I would like to look at a Camry they had just got in. It was the cute little sports package and I said sure. I loved the look of the outside but HATED the inside. It looked like a grandma car. I can't have that now since I'm only 27 (*wink, wink*) It rode really nice though so I was actually considering it. Another customer wanted to test drive my Optima but I wasn't giving up the keys. I was afraid she would get it. Then she test drove the black one just like it, but I guess she wanted mine so she was waiting to see what I decided. I felt kind of bad but it was the exact color and car I had been wanting so I couldn't resist. It's not brand new...it's a 2011 but it is new to me and I love her. :) Plus it's awesome that Madison and I do not have to share anymore. With our schedules that was not fun! I don't have a really good picture of her but I took this one the day after I brought her home...pretty huh?!

This picture I took of Madison and Sammantha before church on Easter Sunday. They looked so beautiful I had to get a picture. :)

Bentonville Half Marathon

Randy ran the Bentonville Half Marathon again this year. His goal was to beat his time from last year. He didn't make his goal but it was a whole lot warmer this year than last and I'm sure that was a factor. He didn't miss it by much.

Randy and Madison before the race...

And they are off...

They were all going by so fast I was afraid I wasn't going to get a picture of him...but I did!! :)

The shadows from the sun make this one to hard to see but the group was down and up the other side and there were soooo many of them that this looked really cool...

We were standing across the street from the Harps which is right before the finish line...so he was almost done here. All 13.1 miles of the race!! Way to go babe, I'm so very proud of you!

We lost a dear sweet friend....

Bill Harding, one of Randy's oldest and dearest friends passed away on March 13th (Logan's birthday). He was 46 years young. I am still having a hard time wrapping my mind around it and it's been a couple of weeks. Randy and Bill were fishing buddies...Bill was one of the groomsmen in our wedding and Randy had the honor of being a pall bearer at Bill's funeral.

Makes me sad that the past few years we have all gotten so busy w/our own lives and kids that we didn't get to spend as much time together. We should all cherish every moment w/our friends and family. We were truly blessed to have known him. Rest in Peace, Bill. You will forever live w/in our hearts.

Please pray for comfort and peace for Jennifer, Spencer, and Rachael as they struggle to make sense of this great loss.

Logan turns 16!!

It's hard to believe that my little bitty 5lb 13oz baby boy is now a 6'2 handsome young man. I am so very proud of the man he is becoming...one who is sweet, caring, so much fun, and most important has a love for God. I have to admit God has truly blessed me w/my children. I am so very lucky to have been chosen to be their mom. My cup runeth over!!

We all know how he hates pictures but I did get one of him w/his loot! Randy and I do not have the money to have a big huge party or buy them cars for the 16th so we did the best we could and gave them as much cash as we could afford. Logan got $500 from us this year and he wasn't complaining! :) He was surprised too! He opened a plastic container that Randy had wrapped in duct tape and there was $100 inside. Then he opened a gift bag that was full of candy and another $100. He thought that was it and that his last give was an actual gift. When he unwrapped it and then went to open the box the other $300 fell out onto the table and he was like whaaaa?! It was funny and I liked that we got to surprise him! He bought a lot of clothes (some he knew were to expensive that we would never buy them for him...but that's what it's all about right?! Getting what you want but do not normally get?) Then one of his best friends of many years stayed the weekend (Jarran). He had a few other boys over too and they did fast lanes and a movie. Overall, I think he really enjoyed his birthday!
