Madison...

Congrats to my Madi girl!! She is officially a 2011-2012 SH Cheerleader!!

She was in youth cheer and tried out before her 7th grade year. When she didn't make it she just decided she would focus on other things and not worry about cheer. She has been a football manager the past few years and LOVED it. She has never mentioned cheer since way back then. When try outs were coming up and she told me she was going to try out I admit I had mixed feelings. I wondered if she was just trying out because some of her friends wanted her to. Then I started to worry ...what if she did really want this and what if she didn't make it. How would she handle the disappointment. Then I decided I would just support her the best I could and hope for the best. Then her and Charlie broke up the Sunday before tryouts. It just made me more nervous for her. They had been together for 3 years so I worried she wouldn't be able to concentrate. She is such a strong young women..she kept it together and she made the squad. She was/is sooo happy. I cannot believe she is going to be a jr this fall. Where oh where did the time go?!?!! I hope that she has an AWESOME year!

Congrats Madison!! Dad and I are so very proud of you & love you so very much!!!

Madison & Baleigh

The girls were asked by Mrs. Fisher to work for her at the prom this year. She asked them to wear short prom dresses. Right when I had thought we got away w/out having to pay for a prom dress this year. She was a good bargain shopper though...we bought her dress off the clearance rack at Dillards.
They looked so beautiful...

Randy's first 1/2 Marathon

Randy ran his first 1/2 marathon. It was at the Bentonville Running Festival and it started on the square in down town Bentonville.

Madison & Randy before the race..

and he's off...

His goal was to finish in under 2 hours. (I told him since it was his first one his goal should be to just finish it..but we all know how he is about his goals.) When I saw him I almost cried. Weird thing I know but we were right before the finish line and I was so happy for him and my little heart swelled up with pride.

He made it in an hour and 47 minutes!! Way to go Babe!!!

Track Meet @ Gravette

1st track meet of the season. Sad thing is they only scheduled 2 and then district. :( It was soooo cold that day that I felt really bad for the kids. I was wrapped in sweats, a coat, and 2 blankets and was still shivering!

He won 3rd in the high jump w/5 ft 2 (imagine how he could do if Pea Ridge had a set up he could actually practice)

This is the first time he's ever tried discus.

It was getting late so this picture is dark but he was kicking it in on the last stretch of the race. He did awesome and made his momma very proud. :)
