Madison's 16th b-day!

I swear every day I wake up a little more sappy than the day before. I cannot believe my little Madi is 16 years old! Where in the world did the time go. I found myself on the verge of tears on and off through the entire trip but I held myself together...

Madison wanted a girl's trip instead of a sweet 16, which was fine w/me. :) I was all for it. We ended up going to Dallas. Friday we hit the Ft. Worth Zoo. It was soooo HOT but it was fun. Friday night we went to Pappsita's (I don't know if that is how you spell it) for her b-day dinner. Saturday we shopped til the girls dropped!! Sunday we shopped too and got home about 8:30 that evening. We had so much fun and we ate such good food (thanks to Jennifer for picking all the best places). It was Madison, Taylor, Haley, Samantha, Kathy, Jennifer, Mom, and I. I did not realize until we got home and loaded the pictures that my mom is not in any of the pictures!! Gah! I don't know how that happened. :(

Madison does not like cake...so every year we get her an ice cream cake...what Dairy Queen does not have ice cream cake?! Let me tell ya! The ones in Hutchins, TX!! I was so bummed. She didn't even get a bday cake while we were there BUT we all had ice cream...

We LOVE Sam Moon!!! Jennifer picked out a bag and I LOVED it so much I got one too. It has been my most favorite ever..the strap is soft and the material is comfy..plus it has the cute little pocket on the front for my phone. Plus, it was only $16!! Can't beat that. The girls loaded up at this store. Purses, bags, jewelry...


While we were all out shopping and shopping and shopping...this is where we found Kathy...so funny!

Logan and Ethan were baptized!!

I knew Logan was a believer and we did/do talk about God and prayer and all that goes w/it but Logan has not been one to talk much about beliefs. He is very outgoing (as most everyone knows) but he is reserved w/his actual feelings (gets that from his dad). So when he told me he wanted to be baptized and I saw the emotion he was feeling my heart overflowed!! I was so very proud of him for taking that step. I know God will do great things through him....I can't remember the total but I believe like 15 kids or so got baptized that night. Some for the first time and some that wanted to show a new commitment. It was wonderful to see and I'm glad I got to be a part of it...
