It's been a long time....

I follow several blogs and I hate when they are not updated and I have not updated mine in forever! I love pictures so this weekend I will try to update the past year in a few pics and get them posted. I will try and do better about being more up to date. I'm not sure how much I will have to share though...my whole world is going to be different come this fall. I'm so excited for the kids. Madison will be starting her 2nd year at UAFS. Her and Kasey will be living in an apartment on campus instead of living in a dorm. More personal space but she plans on getting a job this year so her having an apartment there and a job I probably will not get to see her as much as last year. I guess at least it's been gradual so I can try and get used to it. Logan is going to be in Batesville. 200 miles from home. He gets home sick when he goes to camp so I'm hoping being on the football team where he will be able to make friends quickly and the fact that he will have his buddy Nick there w/him will help w/that. So we are going to have to learn to have our own lives. Seems we've spent the past 19 years w/our lives revolving around their schedules and sports that it's going to be really weird to not be doing just that. Logan will be playing football for Lyons but the team is all red shirted for this first season. So he has 2 scrimmages this year and other than that we do not start traveling for games until August 2015. This is going to be a great thing though. Logan will get to come home for all the breaks plus it will give him time to learn to manage his time with classes and his studies before having to hit it hard in football. He is so excited and I'm a little nervous (those college boys are a little bigger than high school boys) but really excited for him to play. Football has always been my favorite sport to watch him play. Maybe it's because his love for the game is obvious when he plays. Come this fall please pray for our kids as they go off to college. Prayers they do well, that they like it, that they stay along their path w/the Lord, and that they remember to call home often. ;) Pray for Randy and I as well. When Madi left last year it broke our hearts. So weird that you can be so excited and proud of them yet so heartbroken for yourself. For weeks I felt like my heart was actually broken..... Lots of tears. Pray that we can keep it together w/out one or both of us having to be medicated. God Bless! Danielle
